Our Story
At Simple Tap, we make learning personal. Students bring their own phones, tablets, or computers to class, and we guide them step-by-step through everyday tasks. We offer both one-on-one sessions and group workshops, using printed guides, interactive demonstrations, and plenty of hands-on practice. Each session builds confidence, so every older adult leaves feeling capable, not confused. It all started when our founder, Ebony Thacker, noticed that many of her elders, although capable, and full of wisdom were struggling with simple smartphone tasks. Turning up the volume, sending a picture, or answering a video call often felt frustrating. What seemed like small challenges were actually big barriers to connection. She realized that this was a widespread issue she calls Techlexia, like dyslexia but for technology. Through patience and personalized teachings, we help older adults transform from tech-wary to tech-ready. Every senior who conquers their device becomes the hero of their own digital life.
